Specifications

As-welded pipe and tubing is straight-seam welded using ASME qualified automatic or semi-automatic State of the Art Plasma Welding torches in a single or dual torch setup. This process of welding allows the company to supply a large range of thickness and diameters. Normally furnished in square cut ends, pipe with beveled ends can be provided. Spot radiography or 100% radiography can be provided on all weld seams. Pipe is pickled and passivated as per ASTM A380 to maintain corrosion resistance and to prevent surface discoloration from free iron oxidation. As-welded pipe is commonly used when no mechanical testing of the finished product is required.

  • Wall thickness may not be more than 12.5% under nominal thickness.

This specification covers straight-seam welded, light wall, austenitic chromium-nickel alloy steel pipe for corrosion or high-temperature service.

  • Automatic welding process with or without addition of filler wire.

  • Annealing after welding.

  • Tension, Reverse, forward-bend and hardness tests of each lot.

  • Hydrostatic or non-destructive electric test of each tube.

  • Wall thickness may not be more than .018" under nominal.

This specification covers welded unannealed stainless pipe intended for low to moderate temperatures and corrosion service where heat treatment is not required for corrosion resistance. A778 is considered to be the most applicable specification for "as welded" pipe and differs from it only that a transverse guided bend test and a transverse tension test are required per lot.

A778 pipe and tubing is commonly used in the Pulp and Paper mills, food processing plants, and other industries where corrosion resistance is essential.

Normally furnished in square cut ends, pipe with beveled ends can be provided. Spot radiography or 100% radiography can be provided on all weld seams. Pipe is pickled and passivated as per ASTM A380 to maintain corrosion resistance and to prevent surface discoloration from free iron oxidation.

As-Welded fittings are welded using ASME qualified welding procedures using automatic or semi-automatic State of the Art Plasma Welding torches in a single setup. Fittings can be supplied in a wide range of diameters and wall thicknesses. from any of the wide range of weld able corrosion resistant alloys. Welded elbows can be supplied as smooth flow or mitered construction, tees, lateral and crosses are supplied as nozzle-welded. Reducers are supplied as conical. As-Welded fittings can be supplied to ANSI B16.9 or MSS SP-43 dimensions, or customer specific dimensions. Special fittings can be supplied to customer design and size when required.

As-Welded fittings are usually used where corrosion resistance is essential.

This specification covers seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel tubing intended for the low or high temperature and general corrosion service. All material is furnished in the heat treated condition and bead rolling is excluded in our process.

The principal manufacturing procedures specified under A269 are:

  • Automatic welding process with no addition of filler wire.

  • Hydrostatic or non-destructive electric test of each tube.

  • Tension, Flattening, Flange test, reverse-bend and hardness tests required each lot.

  • Wall thickness may not be more than 12.5% under nominal thickness.

Automatic welding process with no addition of filler wire.

This specification covers welded unannealed stainless fittings intended for low to moderate temperatures and corrosion service where heat treatment is not required for corrosion resistance. A774 is considered to be the most applicable specification for "as welded" fittings. Base metal analysis are traceable to the original mill certificates. No nondestructive testing is performed and the fittings are unannealed.

A774 fittings is commonly use in the Pulp and Paper mills, food processing plants, and other industries where corrosion resistance is essential.

Fittings are normally furnished in MSS SP-43 dimensions, with square cut ends, fittings with beveled ends can be provided. Spot radiography or 100% radiography can be provided on all weld seams. Pipe is pickled and passivated as per ASTM A380 to maintain corrosion resistance and to prevent surface discoloration from free iron oxidation.

This specification covers seamless and straight-seam welded stainless pipe intended for high temperature and general corrosion service. The A312 manufacturing process is suited to high-volume production and is generally limited to the diameters and schedule wall thickness shown in ANSI B36.10 and ANSI B36.19. (Specially items can be ordered) A312 pipe with immediately deliver available from a complete inventory standard sizes up to 24".

The principal manufacturing procedures specified under A312 are:

  • Automatic welding process with no addition of filler wire.

  • Annealing after welding.

  • Tension, Reverse, forward-bend and hardness tests of each lot.

  • Hydrostatic of each tube.

  • Wall thickness may not be more than 12.5% under nominal thickness.

Standard Specification for Wrought Austenitic Stainless Steel Piping fittings. This specification covers two general classes, WP and CR, of wrought austenitic stainless steel fittings of seamless and welded construction covered by the latest revision of ANSI B16.9, ANSI B16.11, ANSI B16.28, MSS Standard Practice SP-79, MSS Standard Practice SP-43 and Mss SP-95. Fittings differing from these standard may be furnished in accordance with Supplementary Requirement S9.

Class WP fittings are subdivided into four subclasses: Classes WP-S, WP-W, WP-WX and WP-WU. They are manufactured to the requirements of ANSI B16.9, B16.11,B16.28, or MSS Standard Practice SP-79, and they shall have pressure ratings compatible with 9.2.

Class WP-S fittings are those manufactured from seamless product by a seamless method of manufacture (marked with class symbol WP-S);

Class WP-W fittings contain welds made with or without filler metal. Pipe or fitting fabrications made with filler metal have been radiographed (marked with Class symbol WP-W);

Class WP-WX fittings are those which contain welds where all welds have been radiographed (marked with class symbol WP-WX);

Class WP-WU fittings are those which contain welds where all welds have been ultrasonically tested (marked witch call symbol WP-WU);

Class CR fittings are those manufactured to the requirements of MSS SP-43, and they shall have pressure ratings compatible with 9.3. With no nondestructive testing required.

Carbide solution heat treatment is required which include rapid cooling to prevent re-precipitation of carbides.

This specification covers electric-fusion-welded austenitic chromium-nickel alloy steel pipe suitable for corrosion or high-temperature service or both. Although no restrictions are made on sizes commercial practice is usually above NPS8.

The principal manufacturing procedures specified under A358 are:

  • Automatic welding process with the addition of filler wire.

  • Annealing after welding.

  • A product analysis of both the weld metal and base metal after annealing.

  • Tension, Reverse, forward-bend and hardness tests of each lot.

  • Hydrostatic of each tube.

  • Wall thickness may nor be mode than .010" under nominal.

Normally furnished in square cut ends, pipe with beveled ends can be provided. Spot radiography or 100% radiography can be provided on all weld seams. Pipe is pickled and passivated as per ASTM A380 to maintain corrosion resistance and to prevent surface discoloration from free iron oxidation.
